Senior Staff Program Manager, Creator Partnerships

The role

This role builds Discord's approach to creators, beginning with established creators already active on the platform and growing toward broader programs. The person reports to the marketing leader for player communications and works across support, product, marketing, comms, partnerships, and policy.

What you would do

• Map out creator needs through direct conversations and bring existing creator efforts under one owner and one plan
• Decide how creators are defined and create a method for choosing and supporting a trusted cohort across games and formats
• Launch foundational services such as faster support, clear escalation routes, and dependable two-way channels
• Maintain hands-on relationships with key creators, solving their problems and keeping commitments
• Set up a creator council or network to capture recurring insight into friction points and product opportunities
• Create repeatable systems and playbooks so a program can expand without losing its responsiveness

What they asked for

• Strong enthusiasm for Discord or gaming and genuine respect for the creators and communities it serves
• Seven or more years in creator partnerships, community work, platform programs, marketing, product partnerships, or closely related fields
• Thorough understanding of how creators grow audiences, run their businesses, and steward communities on major platforms
• Track record of running creator or partner initiatives at meaningful scale and of starting small without designing a dead end
• Bias toward shipping a useful first version and improving it based on results
• Able to lead through influence and alignment across teams without managing direct reports

Nice to have

• Experience building creator, partner, ambassador, advisory, or VIP initiatives for a consumer product
• Background designing expedited support or escalation for high-reach users
• Direct work with gaming creators and familiarity with how creators, games, and communities connect
• Experience running perks such as early product access, creator gatherings, recognition, or discoverability efforts
• History of converting creator input into product, policy, or strategy changes
• Prior success growing a program from a small trusted group without losing its value
