Senior Software Engineer, Cloud (Backend / Infrastructure)

The role

This role sits on the Cloud team within Webflow's engineering organization, reporting to a senior engineering manager. The engineer works on the infrastructure and backend that run customer web apps and AI agents, spanning compute, storage, networking, and CDN/edge layers. The position is remote-first for full-time permanent employees based in Argentina.

What you would do

• Construct and maintain dependable cloud services across AWS and Cloudflare platforms
• Advance the infrastructure hosting customer web apps and AI agents
• Join the team's rotating on-call coverage, triage production outages, and address root causes
• Leverage edge delivery and CDN features to speed up and harden customer sites globally
• Carry features end to end, from identifying customer problems through rollout and upkeep
• Adopt AI-assisted coding workflows while keeping quality and accountability high
• Contribute to engineering culture through technical writing, interviewing, and internal hackathons

What they asked for

• Five or more years running backend services in production environments
• Proven ability to define service boundaries, interfaces, and data ownership
• Working knowledge of AWS, Cloudflare, or comparable cloud providers
• Experience modeling data and tuning queries against production databases such as PostgreSQL or MongoDB
• Strong TypeScript and Node.js skills, including edge runtime familiarity
• Understanding of HTTP, caching, CDNs, and edge compute in modern web architecture
• Business-level English proficiency
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
