Senior Software Engineer, Build Loop

The role

This role sits in the Developer Productivity group, reporting to a senior engineering manager, and focuses on making it fast to launch new backend services in the next-generation monorepo. The engineer builds generators and shared primitives, owns how services and web apps deploy across Cloudflare and the existing AWS and Kubernetes setup, and leads migrations of large codebases. The work is fully remote within Argentina and is a permanent, full-time position.

What you would do

• Create Nest.js service templates that let teams launch new backend services quickly in the monorepo
• Build generators and shared platform components so new services work immediately
• Enable services to run independently of the legacy monolith through clean boundaries
• Manage deployment for services and web apps on Cloudflare and integrate with AWS and Kubernetes infrastructure
• Lead large codebase migrations into the monorepo, converting each into a reusable process
• Work with product teams as internal customers and prioritize removing their friction
• Capture lessons in tooling and agent-assisted workflows to lower future migration effort
• Take part in engineering culture work such as writing technical posts, improving hiring, and running hackathons

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
• At least five years building and running backend services in production
• Proven ability to design service boundaries, contracts, and data ownership
• Professional English proficiency for reading, writing, and speaking

Nice to have

• Experience untangling a large, tightly coupled codebase through incremental, behavior-preserving extraction
• Strong TypeScript and Node skills with familiarity with edge runtimes
• Hands-on work with monorepo tools such as Nx or Turborepo at scale
• Careful approach to migration verification and cross-cloud latency and cost tradeoffs
• Clear written communication and openness to adopting AI and emerging tools
