DevRel Engineer, Agentic Infrastructure

The role

This IC role sits within the product groups developing the company's agent-focused infrastructure, reporting to the head of AI infrastructure. The person prototypes with new tools before public release, turns those experiments into educational material, and brings ecosystem observations back to product planning. Hybrid anchor days apply for nearby employees.

What you would do

• Prototype agents and apps on AI Gateway and Sandbox ahead of launch
• Convert prototypes into demos, starter templates, and open-source repos
• Produce written, video, and live-coding material explaining agent infrastructure
• Attend product planning to surface rough edges before release
• Own example repos, launch demos, and docs contributions for launches
• Handle first-line developer questions during launch windows
• Monitor how external builders create agents and where they struggle
• Feed developer feedback into product roadmap decisions

What they asked for

• 5+ years across engineering, developer relations, or developer experience work
• Has built and shipped AI applications or agents with tool calling and model routing
• Familiarity with sandboxed code execution
• Strong TypeScript skills and comfort with Next.js and the AI SDK
• Public portfolio of talks, posts, open-source code, or videos
• Able to turn an unfinished API into a working demo and explanation quickly
• Track record of altering a product roadmap based on developer input
• Must include a link to a public artifact that taught developers something

Nice to have

• Maintains or contributes to widely used open-source software
• Experience running microVMs with an informed view on agent isolation
• Has shipped a production project on Vercel using the AI SDK
