The role
This role sits within Scale's public-sector product group and focuses on moving deployments away from manual, scattered processes toward one automated delivery system. The engineer will learn how the core products are architected so they can deploy and operate them, and will help bring machine learning components into the same automated lifecycle.
What you would do
- Build and maintain automated pipelines that ship both lowside and highside product lines
- Refactor application code so it runs cleanly inside automated delivery workflows
- Help shape deployment architecture to improve speed and dependability
- Diagnose and fix tricky deployment failures without stalling developer progress
- Learn the product and ML stack well enough to wire them into deployment flows
- Write clear documentation for pipelines and their configuration
- Embed security checks at every stage of the delivery process
- Align multiple product teams on a shared, efficient development lifecycle
What they asked for
- Active TS/SCI clearance is mandatory; candidates without it will not be considered
- Willingness and ability to upgrade to CI Poly clearance
- Roughly two to three years in DevOps, DevSecOps, or CI/CD-focused software engineering
- Track record of building or meaningfully improving CI/CD pipelines
- Hands-on experience with container and infrastructure-as-code tooling
- Scripting ability in languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell
Nice to have
- Prior work in classified environments
- Exposure to MLOps or machine learning lifecycle practices
