Engineering Manager, AI Platform & Agentic Apps

The role

This manager role leads the team that builds Robinhood's shared agent platform, which currently gives internal engineers and staff an AI assistant for code, data, and operations work. The team is working toward the same foundation powering customer-facing agents that take real actions in real time. The position sits at the intersection of platform engineering and applied LLM work, with close ties to Legal, Compliance, and Security.

What you would do

• Recruit, develop, and grow a team of engineers building agentic applications
• Own the roadmap and delivery standards for agents acting on behalf of customers and staff
• Guide technical design of agent orchestration, tool integration, evaluation, and permissions for high-stakes actions
• Put guardrails, approval steps, and audit logging in place for actions that move money
• Establish eval-gated release processes for agent changes
• Keep nondeterministic production systems on third-party model providers reliable, including SLOs, fallbacks, and root-cause follow-through on incidents
• Track and report measurable outcomes such as task success, quality, latency, and cost per task to leadership
