Data Solutions & Analytics Senior Analyst

The role

This role sits within a data and analytics group at a fintech company and supports its core products and internal operations. The analyst works alongside operations, compliance, product, and engineering teams to turn data into automated controls and actionable insight, and is expected to guide and mentor colleagues. The position is based in Westlake, Texas, with in-person attendance required several days each week.

What you would do

• Work with operations, compliance, product, and engineering stakeholders to pin down business problems and deliver data-based solutions.
• Construct and upkeep resilient data workflows in Python, Spark, and Airflow that automate risk indicators, control checks, alerts, and reporting.
• Design generative AI and LLM-based tooling that simplifies and improves operational processes.
• Create intuitive dashboards that track the condition of products, systems, and business workflows.
• Convert intricate datasets into clear charts and graphics that guide stakeholder choices.
• Run exploratory analysis to surface actionable findings that shape risk mitigation and efficiency strategies.
• Lead complex initiatives from early concept through delivery and coach teammates along the way.

What they asked for

• Bachelor's degree, or an overseas equivalent, in analytics, computing, information systems, or electronics engineering.
• Five years of steadily growing responsibility in data-focused work or a closely related field.
• Hands-on experience building pipelines with Python, Spark, and Airflow.
• Strong SQL skills for extracting, transforming, and analyzing large datasets.
• Experience applying exploratory analysis and statistical methods to detect patterns and anomalies.
• Track record of building dashboards and visual reporting for ongoing monitoring.
• Experience automating operational and compliance workflows.
• Applied experience using LLMs and generative AI to streamline processes.
• Must pass a background check.
