Senior Manager, Community Growth & Intelligence

Player-coach leading analysts and strategists to build the intelligence function behind Reddit's Community Growth organization, tying insight to product and operating decisions.

The role

This fully remote US role, limited to candidates in Eastern time, straddles growth work for communities, community-focused marketing, product direction, and business operations. It is an analytical and strategic seat rather than community management or pure data science, and it involves close collaboration with data scientists. The hire starts by leading a small team while staying hands-on in the analysis itself.

What you would do

  • Choose the highest-value strategic questions for community growth analysis, rank the work, and make sure findings shape team and product plans.
  • Convert loosely defined growth possibilities into testable hypotheses, analysis plans, sized opportunities, and recommendations.
  • Produce investment proposals that weigh strategy, staffing, expected returns, trade-offs, and risk.
  • Define metrics and evaluation methods, explore data on your own, and work with data science on data design and deeper studies.
  • Set a recurring operating cadence covering portfolio prioritization, business reviews, and progress updates.
  • Drive cross-functional efforts from problem framing through launch, measurement, and iteration with several partner teams.
  • Advise growth leaders and executives by testing assumptions, surfacing trade-offs, and aligning teams on direction.
  • Lead and develop a small group of analysts and strategists, with room to expand the function over time.

What they asked for

  • Eight or more years across growth, strategy, analytics, or consulting, with exposure to consumer products or online platforms.
  • Track record of sizing opportunities and building investment cases that led to prioritization decisions and measurable results.
  • Strong analytical skills, including advanced spreadsheet modeling and working SQL, with the ability to handle messy data and collaborate with data science.
  • Experience defining KPIs, building measurement frameworks, and running experiments or other rigorous evaluations.
  • Experience managing and growing people while still contributing hands-on individual work.
  • Clear written and spoken communication that turns complex material into decisions for senior leadership.
  • Ability to bring order to ambiguous, fast-changing situations and influence peers without formal authority.
  • Background in consulting, chief-of-staff, operations, or growth strategy roles that blended structured thinking with execution.
  • Experience at both large consumer companies and startups or scale-ups.
  • Experience with product-led, ecosystem, or community-driven growth.
