Senior Community Lifecycle Manager

Hands-on senior IC who builds and runs multichannel programs that onboard, educate, and win back volunteer community moderators on the platform.

The role

This individual contributor role sits within the Community Lifecycle function and focuses on moderators, from first-time subreddit creation through growing established communities. The person pairs with strategists who set audience and messaging direction, while owning channel setup, campaign builds, and the operational systems behind them. Work spans email, push alerts, and on-platform touchpoints, with a mandate to modernize the team's technical base.

What you would do

  • Lead channel planning and run campaigns from build and checks through launch, reporting, and tuning
  • Assemble email sends in HubSpot and push sends through the company's internal tooling
  • Refine data pipelines, audience splits, automation flows, and personalized content for moderator outreach
  • Set up controlled tests with holdout groups and turn outcomes into the next round of experiments
  • Work alongside strategists to carry audience and growth plans into market-ready programs
  • Coordinate with product, engineering, and data science to upgrade tooling and find new moderator channels
  • Track send performance and inbox health, resolve technical faults, and keep operations clean
  • Create the standards and repeatable processes needed to grow moderator lifecycle work

What they asked for

  • Seven or more years in lifecycle, email, growth, or martech, with substantial hands-on campaign delivery
  • Background running multichannel lifecycle work for consumer or business-to-business-to-consumer audiences
  • Proven ability to construct and ship campaigns inside HubSpot or an equivalent marketing automation system
  • Working knowledge of marketing data plumbing and enough SQL to query and modify tables
  • Track record designing split tests, measuring campaigns, and analyzing results
  • History of collaborating with product, engineering, and data science peers
  • Clear written and verbal communication with strong editing instincts
  • Self-directed, able to impose structure, debug technical issues, and build something from nothing

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with HTML or CSS
  • Existing familiarity with Reddit and an instinct for community-first thinking
