Product Engineer

Full-stack builder role owning products end to end, from ideation and user research through shipping, support, and docs, with a focus on agent-facing features.

The role

This is a product engineering position on a small, autonomous team at a remote-first analytics and data platform company. The person would own features from concept to production, working closely with users and handling their own customer support and on-call duties. The company wants builders who can design for software agents as well as people.

What you would do

  • Originate product ideas, study user needs, and align work with company strategy
  • Build and release minimum viable versions to real users and iterate on their feedback
  • Own pricing decisions and long-term health of shipped features
  • Build the basic user experience using the internal component library, bringing in design when needed
  • Maintain direct relationships with users and gather input from them regularly
  • Rotate through weekly customer support duty and occasional on-call shifts
  • Write documentation for the features you build

What they asked for

  • Hands-on experience building software that autonomous agents consume, such as agent-driven APIs or MCP servers
  • Full-stack experience across a backend language like Python and a frontend framework like React
  • Track record of taking a project from zero to one, through leading, founding, or a notable side project
  • Strong written communication and ability to make persuasive arguments

Nice to have

  • Background at a fast-scaling SaaS company
  • Deep familiarity with Django or TypeScript-based React
  • Experience building AI-native products or adding AI to existing software
