Software Engineer, Developer Platform

Engineer building the APIs, integration layer, and developer-facing tooling that lets outside apps and AI agents connect to a collaborative workspace.

The role

This engineer works on the core extensibility layer of the product, making it possible for customers to plug external systems and automations into their workspace. The position spans internal platform work that speeds up other engineering groups and customer-facing features, and it collaborates with product, design, data science, and research partners. Work is hybrid, with in-office days set for three weekdays each week.

What you would do

  • Evolve public APIs, agent-facing tool interfaces, and integration infrastructure
  • Partner with product, design, data, and research colleagues to shape direction from early concept through release and upkeep
  • Improve speed, dependability, and graceful scaling of the core product
  • Work with engineering leadership to choose and deliver long-horizon technical improvements
  • Build internal platform capabilities that help other engineering teams move faster

What they asked for

  • Seven or more years shipping production software with ownership of features from start to finish
  • Proficiency in TypeScript on both server and client code
  • Sound product judgment: can turn an ambiguous problem into a workable technical plan and trim scope wisely
  • Openness to using AI tools to improve day-to-day effectiveness, without needing to be an AI specialist

Nice to have

  • Background building developer tools such as APIs or SDKs
  • Experience leading teams toward shared objectives while supporting individual growth and career goals
  • Familiarity with AI agent tooling, model evaluation, or LLM-powered products
