Senior / Staff Fullstack Engineer

The role

This is an individual-contributor engineering position on a small, generalist team that owns the product from database to interface. The work covers new customer-facing features, real-time data sync, collaborative editing, performance tuning, and operational observability. The role is fully remote, with the team working asynchronously across North America, Europe, and Australia.

What you would do

• Ship customer-facing functionality that spans data schemas, API resolvers, and UI components
• Improve the synchronization layer by adopting more efficient serialization approaches
• Introduce real-time collaboration into the content editing experience
• Profile and refine rendering performance for virtualized lists
• Add instrumentation, monitoring, and alerting to help respond to production incidents
• Release notable internal innovations as open-source projects
• Help refine engineering practices so the team can keep building a purpose-built product

What they asked for

• Five or more years building products that customers use, ideally at a quality-focused software company
• Solid command of React and TypeScript, with working knowledge across browser, server, API, and database layers
• Proven record of delivering complex features end to end with visible product impact
• Strong product instincts around UX, speed, and polish, and willingness to challenge what feels wrong
• Able to define problems with limited product management support, not only build what is specified
• Takes full ownership of work from initial idea through to release
• Productive in a remote, asynchronous setting on a lean team

Nice to have

• Experience at a startup or at an organization with a strong engineering standard
• Familiarity with workflow orchestration, real-time sync frameworks, or agent-based systems
