Data Analyst, Platform Excellence Ops Analytics

The role

This individual contributor sits on the PEO Analytics team within the Marketplace and Retailer pillar. The work centers on finding and fixing defects in the grocery delivery experience by digging into operational data and surfacing issues others might miss. The role supports escalations, launch assessments, and proactive monitoring that feeds product and process decisions.

What you would do

• Track retailer performance across multiple dimensions and build dashboards that speed up problem diagnosis
• Investigate metric swings and outliers to pinpoint root causes and suggest fixes
• Analyze large fulfillment quality datasets and run independent analytical plans
• Support ad hoc retailer analyses, launch impact reviews, and escalations
• Size initiatives for product and analytics roadmaps
• Build and present data narratives to mixed business and technical audiences

What they asked for

• One or more years working in an analytics-focused role such as BI, strategy, consulting, or data science
• Experience analyzing and visualizing large datasets
• Advanced SQL and spreadsheet skills
• Deep grasp of micro and macro fulfillment metrics and the systems behind them
• Strong anomaly detection and hypothesis-driven investigation
• Ability to build presentations in PowerPoint or Google Slides
• Works independently with ownership and willingness to challenge existing processes

Nice to have

• Background in consumer marketplace or logistics
• Familiarity with Snowflake or comparable warehouses, GitHub, and Jira
• Experience with Mode or Tableau
• Partnering with product and engineering on scalable process changes
• Using AI tools for analytics with validation and reproducibility practices
