Principal Product Marketing Manager, Competitive

The role

This role sits within the Product and Technical Marketing group and owns how the company stands against rivals in AI-assisted and autonomous development tooling. The person sets the market narrative, advises product on roadmap implications, and reports to a senior director in product and solutions marketing with considerable independence.

What you would do

• Establish the company's competitive stance on AI and autonomous software creation from landscape research through competitor product review
• Translate market movement into internal guidance that teams can act on within days
• Advise product leadership on sequencing choices using evidence-backed recommendations
• Produce sales plays, comparison materials, and objection responses for named rivals and track their effect on win rates
• Coordinate with growth and campaign teams on displacement efforts and their pipeline contribution
• Brief investor relations, analysts, sales, and executives with consistent competitive messaging
• Raise the bar for the wider product marketing group
