Figma

Brand Designer, Product Launches

Visual storytelling designer who turns complex product strategy into launch narratives, owning visual direction from concept through final delivery.

The role

This role sits within the brand and launch storytelling work that shapes how the product is presented externally. The designer leads visual direction for launches, working alongside marketing, writing, product design, and motion partners.

What you would do

  • Convert product strategy and feature depth into storyboards and styleframes that carry each launch's narrative
  • Coordinate with writers, designers, motion artists, strategists, and producers to produce narrative assets
  • Contribute to refining and consistently applying the company's visual storytelling approach
  • Take ownership of visual direction from first concepts through finished delivery
  • Develop new visual formats rather than relying only on established templates

What they asked for

  • Portfolio demonstrating a clear visual point of view carried into finished work across several media, including styleframes, storyboards, and concepts
  • Speculative work for invented brands or products is acceptable as portfolio material
  • Track record of reducing a business or strategy brief to one strong idea and developing it into execution
  • Experience working with motion designers, production crews, marketing, and product design teams
  • Strong command of composition, color, and pacing, especially for moving imagery, in service of clarity
  • Working proficiency in Figma; After Effects is a bonus rather than a requirement

Nice to have

  • Can produce simple animations or motion tests without outside help
  • Enthusiasm for trying new tools, workflows, and emerging technology
  • Past work on launch films, explainers, or guided product tours
  • Skill at turning dense feature detail into an engaging narrative
  • Genuine curiosity about the product and alignment with the company's mission
