Senior Creative, Social

Senior creative inside the brand studio who turns online trends and cultural moments into ideas that reach beyond social feeds, while also making short-form content and critiquing peers' work.

The role

This position sits within the brand marketing studio and partners closely with the social team at a company whose social channels have gained wide cultural attention. The person blends content making, copywriting, and art direction, moving quickly from a spotted trend to a finished piece, and helps lift the overall quality of daily social output.

What you would do

  • Convert online moments into concepts that extend past the feed, such as stunts, signage, products, mascot cameos, pop-ups, and partner projects
  • Give practical, specific critique to social creators so their work feels more distinctive, timely, and on-brand
  • Take ambitious creative from initial spark to launch within roughly two weeks when the cultural window is short
  • Spot emerging memes, fandoms, and cultural events where the brand can add value in an unexpected way
  • Produce original short posts, videos, and memes personally when a quick, native piece is the best answer
  • Guide the evolution of the brand's voice, visual identity, characters, and humor across major social platforms
  • Coordinate with social, brand, design, production, PR, partnerships, and legal to decide what gets made and how fast
  • Pitch ideas at every level of detail, from brief Slack messages to complete presentation decks

What they asked for

  • At least seven years of experience producing culture-aware work for social platforms, brands, agencies, media outlets, or a personal following
  • A portfolio showing content that stops the scroll and concepts large enough to outgrow the feed
  • Deep familiarity with internet culture and the judgment to separate a rising trend from one that is fading
  • A developed perspective on what strong social creative looks like today and where it is headed
  • Solid copywriting ability plus a strong eye for art direction, visual design, and visual storytelling
  • Proven skill in short-form video, covering concepting, directing, and seeing production through
  • Track record of carrying cultural insight into experiential work, earned-media stunts, out-of-home, products, or partnerships
  • History of giving direct, constructive critique that helps other makers strengthen concepts and execution
  • Ability to move between big-picture strategy and hands-on making without hesitation
  • Good creative judgment, a humble working style, and a talent for improving work through group input
  • Willingness to live in or relocate to the Pittsburgh or New York office

Nice to have

  • Experience spanning both internal brand teams and outside agency or studio work
  • Sincere enthusiasm for the company's mission, product, and cast of characters
