Engineering Manager, FinHub - Financial Intelligence (Platform)

The role

This engineering manager leads a team inside the Platform group's FinHub organization, specifically the Financial Intelligence unit. The team owns the core account primitive, real-time transaction history, and internal developer tooling. The role centers on re-architecting these systems to support upcoming product lines and higher traffic volumes.

What you would do

• Manage and develop a six-person engineering group spanning several seniority levels
• Lead re-architecture of account and history services to handle future scale and new product primitives
• Set the roadmap for internal tooling such as dashboards, interfaces, and automated agent workflows for engineering and operations
• Guide architecture choices across distributed systems, event streams, and full-stack tooling, and run design reviews
• Work with product, finance, and engineering leaders to plan quarterly goals and break large efforts into shippable stages
• Help recruit engineers and oversee quality practices including service-level commitments, incident handling, and on-call rotations

What they asked for

• At least seven years of software engineering experience, including two or more years managing engineers
• Track record of building and running large-scale distributed systems in production
• Able to review code, lead incident response, and debug production issues directly when needed
• Experience turning vague, long-range technical challenges into concrete plans with measurable checkpoints
• Background in financial systems, event-driven designs, or precision transaction processing where accuracy is critical
• Comfortable across backend services, streaming pipelines, and full-stack tools, with care for developer and operator experience
