Cloudflare

Customer Engineer, Korea

Quota-carrying technical advisor in Korea who guides enterprise customers from pre-sales validation through rollout and expansion of Cloudflare's network, security, and developer products.

The role

This is a customer-facing technical role within the go-to-market organization, reporting to a Customer Engineering leader. The engineer works alongside account executives and owns the technical side of the relationship from first evaluation through adoption, renewal, and growth. Seoul and Singapore are the listed hiring locations.

What you would do

  • Run technical discovery with account executives and translate customer infrastructure needs into suitable Cloudflare architectures
  • Plan proofs of concept, including goals and evaluation criteria
  • Give tailored demos, presentations, and architecture diagrams
  • Handle tough technical, compliance, and architecture objections during deals
  • Oversee customer onboarding and design migration plans such as DNS moves, Zero Trust rollouts, and WAF tuning, without doing the hands-on implementation
  • Track customer health and usage data to speed time-to-value, lower deployment risk, and spot cross-sell and upsell openings
  • Hold a revenue quota and lead technical business reviews that show ROI to senior executives
  • Use AI agents and LLMs to automate questionnaires, sandbox setup, monitoring, and documentation
  • Work with the Enablement team to produce SOPs, best-practice guides, and training for staff and customers

What they asked for

  • Background working directly with customers in a technical capacity, such as solutions, sales, or support engineering, professional services, technical account management, or forward-deployed engineering
  • Ability to sketch and explain complex enterprise network and security designs
  • Strong skill at turning technical detail into business value for engineers and C-suite audiences
  • History of working under a quota or revenue target, with grasp of SaaS metrics and enterprise sales cycles
  • Strong presentation and stakeholder management abilities
  • Real depth in at least four areas: Internet fundamentals, security, performance, AI proficiency, scripting/coding, and developer platform fluency
  • Comfort with languages like Python, JavaScript, Bash, Lua, or Go for integrations and edge functions
  • Willingness to travel roughly 20 to 50 percent

Nice to have

  • Experience running workshops, code samples, or documentation that speeds platform adoption
  • Knowledge of LLM orchestration, RAG architectures, and model access controls
  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks like PCI DSS, HIPAA, and SOC 2
  • Background at hyperscalers, digital-native firms, distributed systems teams, or startups
  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in a technical discipline such as computer science
