The role
This is a software engineering role on the developer experience side of Clay's engineering organization, sitting on the infrastructure team. The work centers on environments where AI coding agents and human engineers can operate with full codebase awareness and move changes safely into production. Scope covers developer tooling, infrastructure, and agent execution systems.
What you would do

- Organize a monorepo's structure, task orchestration, and supporting tools
- Build and refine CI/CD flows that test and verify changes proposed by agents
- Investigate cloud-hosted development environments
- Give AI agents richer views of the codebase so several can run concurrently and handle refactors, migrations, and bug repairs
- Set up metrics, dashboards, and internal forums to monitor engineering health and surface friction
- Partner with the engineering org to identify and remove productivity bottlenecks
What they asked for
- Track record creating internal engineering platforms and tooling
- Strong drive to make engineers' daily workflows smoother
- Interest in simplifying multi-step automated pipelines
- Enthusiasm for how AI is reshaping the software delivery cycle
