Host Communications Strategy Lead

The role

This role sits within the host-focused community team and combines product marketing with corporate and community communications. The person sets the messaging and launch plans for new features and platform updates, and coordinates the owned channels that reach hosts.

What you would do

• Own positioning and launch communication plans for new features, products, and community or company updates
• Set engagement and business goals for major announcements and campaigns
• Build KPI and measurement frameworks with analysts and data scientists
• Develop campaigns, messaging frameworks, and positioning materials, and oversee their production
• Define audiences and segments and shape plans that serve them
• Align editorial direction across owned channels such as the community hub, resource center, social, customer experience, and email
• Prepare both proactive and reactive communication plans
• Report reach, engagement, and business metrics, and share sentiment dashboards with operations

• 10+ years in marketing or communications at a strong technology company or startup
• Excellent writing and editorial judgment, with a portfolio or writing samples to share
• Ability to turn complex product features and policies such as fees, reviews, and cancellations into clear narratives
• Experience leading initiatives across matrixed teams and influencing without direct authority
• Familiarity with product strategy, design, and development processes
• Experience managing creative agencies and running creative production
• Background applying user research and testing to marketing strategy
• Daily fluency with AI tools to speed up drafting, iteration, and sentiment or performance analysis
