Android Software Engineer, Quality Platform

The role

This role sits on a platform team spanning mobile infrastructure, developer experience, and applied AI. The engineer works on the quality tooling that thousands of engineers depend on to ship Android changes with confidence. The position is fully remote and based in Brazil.

What you would do

• Create AI-based agents that improve CI/CD workflows and give developers smarter feedback
• Find and fix recurring slowdowns in the development cycle so teams can move faster
• Partner with product teams on architecture so new features are modular and easy to test
• Own shared testing frameworks used across the company, keeping them fast and dependable
• Write Kotlin code for testing libraries and LLM-powered developer tools
• Keep the testing infrastructure available around the clock and handle operational issues
• Use LLMs to generate tests, orchestrate test runs, and discover untested paths
• Review peers' code and offer technical guidance

What they asked for

• At least three years of professional Android development experience, or a PhD
• Strong Kotlin skills and familiarity with the Android SDK
• Solid understanding of modern Android architecture and Gradle build processes
• Hands-on experience building or maintaining large-scale UI test automation
• Familiarity with CI/CD orchestration and a drive to improve developer tooling
• Interest in or practical use of AI and LLMs for productivity or quality problems
• Ability to work through complex, unclear codebases and deliver strong solutions
• Clear communication skills for leading technical discussions across teams
